Intermittent Fasting

Dinner-Cancelling is a form of intermittent fasting, where one does not consume any calories after 4 or 5 p.m. Like other forms of intermittent fasting it has beneficial effects on the health and longevity of humans. For most people it is easier to skip breakfast than dinner, specially if dinner is the main course. But skipping dinner also improves sleep. To skip dinner, lunch usually becomes the main meal, and most people add a snack at 4 p.m. This way, the food can be mostly digested before bed-time. This results in a lower body-temperature at night (like hibernation) which is also beneficial to longevity. Most people tend to eat unhealthy food in the evening, so skipping all food after 4 p.m. also helps to loose weight and eat healthier. There are many benefits, but also problems with dinner-canceling. I want to write about those in this blog as I try it out. I have startet to cancel dinner a few months ago and already lost 20 pounds, so that will keep me sticking to this.
